The locking tabs are not the exact same as the 9005 halogen (little smaller), but they do lock into place. The O-ring gasket is a little flimsy and did not make a good seal on the back side of the housing, which allowed moisture to get into the housing. Easily remedied by going with a thicker O-ring or you can RTV into place. The heat sink portion of the LED sticks out pretty far and doesn't allow for the back lens housing cap to be re-installed.
